For charger installers
Become an ECH installer.
We’re building relationships with reliable installers who offer clear pricing, careful work and helpful aftercare. Tell us a little about your business to get started.
Apply in about two minutesA simple way to join
- Send the short form. Business details, areas covered and a public review link if you have one.
- Have a conversation. We check public registrations and reviews, then arrange a short call if there’s a potential fit.
- Agree the next step. Before approval, we check your insurance and relevant qualifications, then agree a short written trial and any referral fees.
Google, Trustpilot or other public reviews are our normal starting point for customer feedback. We only ask for a private reference if a specific evidence gap needs it, with the referee’s permission.
Regional installer applications
Tell us about your business.
Tell us which parts of the UK you cover. We’ll check the qualifications, certification and notification requirements for the work and locations you offer.
What we check before approval
- Qualified electricians, suitable EV training, current wiring regulations knowledge and inspection and testing competence.
- Current NICEIC, NAPIT or equivalent appropriate registration for the domestic and EV work offered, including a clear route for certification and required notifications.
- At least £2 million public liability cover including the work, plus other insurance appropriate to the business. This is ECH’s minimum.
- Relevant EV experience, public customer feedback and a clear approach to quotes, warranties, complaints and aftercare.
- A response to ECH introductions by the end of the next working day, with agreed customer timescales and outcome updates.
Accepted equivalent qualifications and registrations are considered. OZEV authorisation is only needed for work under a grant scheme that requires it. It is not needed to submit this application.

How introductions work
We check a customer’s request against your coverage and service. We name your business and ask the customer before sharing their details. You assess the installation and give the customer a full written quote.
What approval means
Approval is confirmed in writing after checks, with its scope and review arrangements. Fees and the trial terms are agreed separately before introductions. Approval is non-exclusive and does not guarantee enquiries or regional exclusivity.
