How this calculation works
The electricity you pay for is higher than the energy added to the battery. We use a 10% example loss across charging; you can adjust it.
Electricity bought = miles ÷ miles/kWh ÷ (1 − loss%). Fuel bought = miles ÷ UK mpg × 4.54609 litres. Prices include VAT if you enter VAT-inclusive prices.
The home share is the share of charging energy. Use a representative blended rate if you charge publicly at different prices.
