Before you decide

Get ready before you request offers

You can use this checklist without leaving your contact details.

  1. Choose the route that suits you

Think about timing, convenience and whether you want to sell separately or change cars in one dealer transaction.

  2. Have the car’s details ready

Gather the mileage, service history, keys and details of any damage. For an EV, add charging cables, warranty and any battery-health information.

  3. Compare when you are ready

Ask for clear written figures using the same information. Check what can change after inspection and what fees apply.

Your MOT history is useful background. It does not establish the car’s sale value.

Your choices do not send an enquiry. On Electric Car Help, you only leave contact details if you choose to ask for installer help. Privacy details.
