Does battery health affect the value of a used EV?
Battery evidence can influence a buyer's confidence and valuation, alongside age, mileage, condition, specification and market demand. There is no reliable rule that turns a battery-health percentage into a fixed pound value for every car.
Know what the report measures
A state-of-health report estimates aspects of battery condition relative to a reference value. Ask for the method, date, mileage and limitations. Capacity, usable energy and the range predicted on the dashboard are different things. Reports from different systems may not be directly comparable.
Prepare the evidence for a buyer

Care advice depends on the car
Follow the manufacturer's guidance for your model and battery chemistry. Avoid treating a universal charging percentage as the right answer for every EV. Temperature, use, charging and age can affect range and battery condition.
